Rig Rack
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Rig Rack is a reference catalog of guitar rigs. This policy explains what we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Account details. When you create an account we store your name, email address and a password credential (or the identity returned by the sign-in provider you choose). We use these only to sign you in and to show who contributed an entry.
Content you submit. If you have an editor account, the musician, gear and tone-recipe entries you add are stored with your account, along with the source links you attach to them.
Technical data. Like most websites we receive standard request information — IP address, browser and device type — and we record anonymous usage events, such as which pages are opened, to keep the site working and to understand what people find useful.
How we use it
To run the app: authenticate you, save your entries, and display the catalog.
To improve it: aggregate, non-identifying statistics about which pages and features are used.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We store a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in between visits. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Third parties
Our hosting and database provider processes and stores the data described above on our behalf.
Entries link out to external sources such as videos, articles and interviews. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies — we have no control over it.
Keeping your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists, and anonymous usage statistics for a limited period.
Catalog entries and their source links are part of the public reference and stay visible even if the account that added them is deleted; the entry is no longer linked to you.
Your choices
Access and correction. You can see and change your name and email from your account, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
Deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data attached to it at any time.
Deleting your account and data
To request deletion, send an email from the address on your account to Justinnbrwn@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm once the account and its personal data have been removed.
Deletion removes your name, email address and sign-in credentials. Anonymous statistics that cannot be linked back to you may remain, and public catalog entries stay as described above. We may keep a minimal record where the law requires it.
Children
Rig Rack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Contact
Rig Rack is operated by the publisher named on the app's Google Play listing, which is also the data controller for the information described here.
Questions about this policy, and requests to access or delete your data, go to Justinnbrwn@gmail.com.
